Top Tip: Grab a coffee from the mill café and follow the Bollin Valley trail for a peaceful hour-long loop through the woods.
2. The Carrs Park, Wilmslow
Distance from hotel: 2.3 miles / 7 minutes by car
A favourite with locals, The Carrs runs alongside the River Bollin and features wide open fields, play areas, a skatepark and scenic riverside paths. Great for morning jogs, relaxed strolls or a low-key afternoon with the kids.

3. Tatton Park & Deer Park
Distance from hotel: 9.5 miles / 20 minutes by car
If you’re planning a bigger day out, head to Tatton Park, home to landscaped gardens, a working farm, a neoclassical mansion and herds of free-roaming red and fallow deer. Covering over 1,000 acres, it’s ideal for picnics, dog walks and summer events.
