We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our 4-star hotel near Manchester Airport. The primary duties will include washing dishes, cleaning, sanitizing food preparation areas & equipment and disposing of waste. You will also be responsible for assisting chefs and other kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.

Position: Kitchen Porter
Reports to: Head Chef
Location: Handforth (Manchester Airport)
Key Responsibilities
- Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitized
- Wash all cooking tools and utensils
- Support kitchen staff by taking on food prep (peeling and chopping when required)
- Stock and organise supplies, such as plates, glasses etc
- Follow food safety procedures, such as maintaining food temperature and handling food in a hygienic manner
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management
Prerequisites
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary
- Should be available to work on weekends and bank holidays
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of the team
- You must have speed and an eye for detail
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules
