We are looking for self-motivated and passionate people for multiple chef jobs at our 4-star hotel in Wilmslow, Pinewood Hotel. A successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the production of the highest food quality to maximise guest satisfaction in line with 4-star standards and customer expectations. You will also support the kitchen management team in achieving departmental cost norms and profitability margins.

We are looking for experienced candidates for the following positions:

  • Chef de Partie
  • Sous Chef
  • Commis Chef

Reports To: Head Chef

Key Responsibilities

  • Work to achieve high levels of personal and departmental performance measures in order to meet and exceed customer and colleague expectations.
  • Has achieved Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 qualification to ensure a good understanding of food safety and food hygiene practices in the kitchen.
  • Prepares all dishes and food orders as required on breakfast, lunch, lounge, dinner and function menus in line with Company 4* standards, in order to maximise guest satisfaction.
  • To follow recipes, menu specifications, and standards of presentation to ensure consistency in the standard of food served and budgeted food cost targets.
  • Assures that proper health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices are followed in regard to food handling and the kitchen environment.

 

Position Title: Senior Chef de Partie

Responsibilities

  • Assist Head Chef in checking and ordering fresh products and dry storage items required by kitchen and related departments to ensure correct quality, pricing and par stock levels.
  • Supervise CDPs, Commis Chefs and kitchen porters as required.
  • Identify individual training needs and assist the Head Chef in ensuring the team receive training and coaching as required in all aspects of their role.

Position Title: Chef de Partie

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in regard to the ordering of fresh, frozen and dried food items to ensure par stock levels.
  • Be responsible for supervising commis chefs and kitchen porters.
  • Adopt and maintain a good working relationship with food and beverage service staff and other personnel within the hotel.

Position Title: Sous Chef

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest food quality, by assisting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and be involved with training of all food production staff and kitchen porters.
  • Contribute ideas for sales promotions for food and beverage and to increase sales.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development
  • Be responsible for the performance of the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

Position Title: Commis Chef

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior colleagues in the kitchen and take every opportunity to learn and become familiar with the daily tasks in the department.
  • Reports all potential and real hazards immediately.
  • Follows proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices in regard to food handling and the kitchen environment.
