F&B Operations Manager

We are hiring a self-motivated, ambitious, and hands-on F&B Operations Manager to be a part of our upcoming hotel in Cricklewood, London. The ideal candidate must have experience delivering large volume conferences and banqueting events as well as working within a hotel group. You should be flexible working at night, on weekends and on bank holidays depending on the needs of the business.

You will be responsible for driving the F&B Sales opportunities and standards, working closely with the Group F&B Director. Your core responsibility will be working with the team to identify and recognise strengths, areas for improvement, and opportunities for increasing F&B sales, profitability and customer experience.

Position Title: F&B Operations Manager

Reports To: Group Director – F&B
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial performance: Achieve business goals and revenue targets. Monitor, review and identify ways to maximise the commercial performance (revenue/profit/customer) of each F&B department in line with the company proposition
  • Oversee and manage F&B events including weddings and conferences
  • Continuously review the strategies and agreeing the action plans to drive commercial performance, address operational opportunities/challenges and site-specific trends to drive positive change
  • Lead the team to ensure the brand standards are achieved
  • Recruit high-quality teams, coach and mentor them to achieve their targets and navigate through all aspects of change with the assistance of the Group F&B director
  • Prepare and present the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the operational and financial performance of the F&B department and agree to budgets with Group F&B Director
  • Ensure the department is always compliant, safe, legal and clean, mitigating any risk and taking swift and decisive action to resolve it
  • Own and resolve escalated customer issues, incident reports and legal actions
  • Be an influencer, help and inspire your team, demonstrate honesty and integrity and lead by example – be an inspirational leader to the team

Prerequisites

  • Minimum 5 years of F&B operations experience with reputable brands
  • You must be committed to growing professionally and giving your best
  • Hungry to succeed, a multi-tasker, well organised and can perform under pressure
  • A hands-on approach to managing with effective leadership skills
  • Passion for hospitality and possess the drive to constantly deliver top-class customer service
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • A demonstrable record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Food hygiene, health and safety knowledge
  • Ability to lead, engage and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Work in a collaborative manner with other areas of the business
  • Sales-driven, comfortable working as part of a team, as well as being able to dictate your own agenda and work autonomously
  • Able to effectively prioritise and balance guest expectations with business priorities
